How versions are createdMost versions arrive automatically: forward a new export (or upload a new .eml) and it becomes the next numbered version. You can also add one yourself from the versions panel.

Version history and namingThe version panel lists every draft with its number, subject, and timestamp. Switch between versions to see each one's design and comments, and rename inline.

Compare two versionsSwitch on Compare in the versions panel and pick a second version. Proofel defaults to a side-by-side view with synced scrolling so you can spot exactly what moved.

Cinematic (wipe) compareSwitch the compare view from side-by-side to cinematic: the two versions stack and a draggable divider wipes between them. Respects reduced motion. Available on Pro and above.

Reading the diffIn compare, changed regions are highlighted and comments stay attached to the version they were made on, so you read the design change and the feedback that drove it together.
